Peppermill - Las Vegas

I have previously been to the Peppermill and enjoyed the large portions of delicious comforting food and now that I was in Vegas with someone who had never been to the city I knew that I wanted to go again.
Peppermill is a 24 hour a day diner and lounge that has been around since the early '70s. It has an old Vegas feel to it with bright neon colors, "Tiffani - Style" chandeliers and fake plastic trees, and has been seen in films such as Casino and Showgirls which gives it a little extra kitsch factor.

I knew that I wanted Breakfast and the Feta and Vegetable Omelette was the first thing that caught my eye.
(fresh spinach, tomatoes, artichokes, topped with tomatoes and feta, served with hash browns, and choice of bread $13.25)

Not only was the Omelette huge, but it was delicious. The generous amount of Feta and all of the fresh ingredients made it really hearty and satisfying.
I didn't care for the Hash Browns, they were not crispy enough for me, which was actually fine because I really didn't need them anyway. I chose a toasted Bagel for my bread (although it came out un-toasted), but it was still good and I loved the fact that it was served with both Cream Cheese and Strawberry Jelly.

My friend ordered the Pesto Burger
(thick sliced fresh mozzarella, crispy prosciutto, pesto, sliced tomato on ciabatta roll served with side $12.25) with Potato Salad for his side.

This was another huge meal. The Burger looked so good that I had to try it.  I was impressed with the amount of Pesto and Mozzarella that were on it and the overall flavor was fantastic.  I admit that I was a little jealous of it.

We both left extremely satisfied with full bellies and a love for the Peppermill. It's nice to see some of the Vegas classics still doing a great business.
